Find Calendar Events by Asking in Your Own Words
You remember the school fundraiser, but not what the event was called or which imported schedule it came from. Instead of opening every calendar, ask the Image2Cal assistant something like, “When is that school fundraiser?”
How the search works
When you save a new calendar or change its events, Image2Cal creates a numerical representation, called an embedding, of the event text. The assistant can compare your question with those saved events by meaning, so a phrase like “the BBQ in August” can find a cookout even if the titles differ.
Search can look across your saved calendars and return matching event details with a link to the calendar. You can also ask in ordinary language to add or edit an event, rename a calendar, or make a share link.
Try specific questions
- “Where is the next away game?”
- “When is the dentist appointment from my recent calendars?”
- “Find the cookout we added last month.”
Search works best for newly saved or updated events. Older calendars are not automatically rebuilt just for this feature, and results can miss a match. If an answer matters, open the event and check the original details.
